Connect NC Bond Referendum

Allies for Cherry Point’s Tomorrow (ACT) supports the $2 billion Connect NC Bond, that invests in needed infrastructure throughout North Carolina and especially in the Cherry Point region, and urges all citizens in the Cherry Point region to vote YES for the NC Connect Bond on the Tuesday, March 15, 2016 Primary Election Ballot.

With so much at stake this election year, it is important that all citizens in the Cherry Point region understand what important topics will affect our area. The Connect NC Bond Referendum supports funds allocated for the following: new construction and repair of existing facilities on the 17 campuses of the UNC System, the 58 Campuses of the NC Community College System (including a STEM facility at Craven Community College Havelock Campus, renovations to STEM classrooms and laboratories at Pamlico Community College, construction of new facilities for Hospitality and Culinary programs at Carteret Community College), improvements to state and local parks, water and agricultural improvements, recreational enhancements at Fort Macon State Park as well as capital investments that would support and enhance the military and commercial enterprises, personnel and dependents at Cherry Point by providing continuing education, job skills development, recreational opportunities and greater quality of life.
